Opportunities to Learn...

The following classes are offered throughout the year for high school youth and adults. Please watch the Pilgrim newsletter and bulletin boards for sign-up information.

ALPHA

ALPHA is a 12-week course (including a retreat weekend) which covers the basics of Christianity.

ALPHA is for:

Anyone interested in finding out more about the Christian faith. Confirmed youth and adults of all ages are welcome.

Learning and laughter. It is possible to learn about the Christian faith and to have fun at the same time.

People meeting together. An opportunity to get to know others and to make new friends.

Helping one another. The small groups give you a chance to discuss issues raised during the talks.

Ask anything. ALPHA is a place where no question is seen as too simple or too complicated.

The Lutheran Course

The Lutheran Course is a 7-week seminar which takes you through the fundamentals of being Lutheran with depth and humor. It is a great class for new members, those who are considering membership, or anyone who wishes to have a refresher.

Discovering God's Vision for Your Life: You and Your Spiritual Gifts

This is an 8-week course offered either as a weekend retreat or an 8-week course. It is designed to help people find their gifts and fully understand God's call in their life.

What are Spiritual Gifts?

Spiritual gifts are God's empowerment of God's people for God's work. More specifically defined:

Spiritual gifts are unique endowments from the Holy Spirit generously shared with Christians in com-munity for building up the body of Christ in practical ways.
