Pastor John Hitzeroth

Pastor John W. Hitzeroth is a graduate of Christ Seminary-Seminex.  He was born and raised in Elgin, Illinois.  Both of his grandfathers were Lutheran ministers.

Pastor Hitzeroth has 28 years of experience as a parish minister.  He served 19 years at Peace Lutheran Church in Sparta, Michigan and eight years at Our Savior Lutheran church in Salem, Missouri before coming to Pilgrim.

Pastor John is married to Jan and they have two sons, Andrew and Philip.  Jan is a school teacher by profession and has a heart for social ministry.  Andrew is 24, has graduated from Central Michigan University and is now a seventh grade teacher in Jacksonville, North Carolina.  Philip is currently a senior attending Central Michigan University majoring in Broadcasting and Fine Arts.
